Como es de conocimiento público, el día de ayer, 29 de octubre del 2006, las fuerzas federales del gobierno de Vicente Fox, atacaron al pueblo de Oaxaca y a su más digna representante, la Asamblea Popular de los Pueblos de Oaxaca, la APPO.

With the modification of article 27 of the constitution by the neoliberal governments, the original people of these lands were condemned to disappear. In 2001 the House of Representatives, Senate, and the Federal Supreme Court refused to recognize the San Andrés Accords, leaving indigenous people with no choice but to exercise their autonomy and their collective rights, including their right to land and territory, by the following: the recuperation of lands that have historically been worked collectively and that represent the seat of mayan culture today.

Con la modificación del artículo 27 constitucional por parte de los gobiernos neoliberales se condenó a los pueblos originarios de estas tierras a desaparecer. En 2001 las Cámaras de diputados, senadores y la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación se negaron a reconocer los Acuerdos de San Andrés, y no dejaron otra salida a los pueblos indígenas que el ejercicio de la autonomía y sus derechos colectivos de los pueblos indígenas incluyendo el derecho a la tierra y al territorio, por la vía de los hechos: La recuperación de las tierras que históricamente trabajan en colectivo y que representan el asiento de las culturas mayas hoy.
