We hope you appreciate the news, analysis and education materials we provide on Mexican social justice issues. Providing this service -- as well as hosting and educating volunteers -- comes at a modest cost: around $700/month, to provide stipends to our Coordinator and Intern, and subsidize house rent in San Cristobal, Chiapas. However, fundraising has fallen short during a time when we’re both hiring a new Chiapas coordinator, and also establishing a house in the neighboring state of Oaxaca. To fund this transition and our new project we need to raise $5,000 in the next few months. We understand there are many demands on your dollars today, and other organizations and relief efforts seeking your support. We're a small grassroots organization, and depend on individual donors, including our readers. (We also value our readers' feedback; let us know what you think.) We're asking for tax-deductible donations of $25, $50, $100 or more, to help us continue to exist. We have very little overhead, thus the bulk of your donation goes to directly supporting social justice work in Mexico. We also welcome other forms of support such as the donation of expertise or equipment. Donations are fully tax deductible.
